Hierarchical and Heterogeneous Mobile Agent-based wireless sensor networks (HHMA-WSN)

Wireless sensor networks are becoming increasingly important, suitable, and effective in a large range of applications. In this paper, we introduce a novel architecture for organizing wireless sensor networks in a hierarchy blending the mobile agent technology over both the internet and sensor devices. The proposed architecture allows for heterogeneous sensors to be used in which lightweight and heavyweight mobile agents can move over wireless sensors and over the internet, respectively. Various useful applications can take advantage of the proposed architecture, such as, environmental monitoring, military monitoring and security management.
