Abstract :
The global market of mobile payment is set to increase significantly in the following years. As a report from KPMG describes the total market until 2015 is estimated around 1 trillion USD dollars [1], as this will be driven by the increasing demand to shop in environments that are always on, fast and always accessible. The main battles around it are drawn security, infrastructure and also the interoperability of the devices in order to provide the richest consumer experience with highest convenience. The use cases are around user authentication, a great challenge for security and payments, having it strong authentication built-in on devices which could be the phone you are carrying always with you. The paper examines the idea to implement additional security layer that enables protecting your NFC transaction, and also personal agents that could help customer´s online shopping experience. One problem regarding mobile payments is that customers will not use their phones to make mobile payments and retail stores won´t implement new systems until a critical mass accepts them.
