Abstract
We investigated genes that contain change points of triplet periodicity. The algorithm for detection of TP splicing of nucleotide sequences has been developed. Gene sequences from KEGG-48 databank were analyzed with a purpose of searching for genes with a TP change point. This change points were found in 311221 genes (~8% from the total number of genes in KEGG-48). We showed that the repetitive or low-complexity sequences are not cause of these events. We suppose that the TP change points may indicate fusion of genes or domains with different types of TP.
