Abstract :
With the help of the statistic analysis and grey relational analysis, the purpose of this study was to find the grey correlation between the performances and the 10 disciplines of decathlon of world record holder (Roman Šebrle) in his different training phases. Data in the forms of scores (pt), distances and times for 52 competing results of Roman Šebrle from the beginning to the end of his sport career was collected and then subjected to statistic analysis and grey relational analysis. The results indicate: (1) According to Sports training periodization (for the Olympics based on a four years plan), the Roman Šebrle´s decathlon career was divided into 7 training phases; (2) According to the GRG of each phase, there were some difference characters in different training phases, which indicated the Roman Šebrle´s different training highlights in each phase.
