Abstract :
Fatigue in sports is a hot spot in the field of sport science and exercise physiology. At present, lots of theories had been put forward to investigate possible mechanisms. But it is so difficulty to highlight the essential biological process. As we well known, the levels of metabolism, including the material metabolism and the energy metabolism, are increased significantly in case of strenuous exercise, all kinds of reactive carbonyl compounds, which can easily react with biomacromolecular such as proteins, nucleic acid, lipid and neuro-transmitters, induce to change the function of cells and decrease the exercise capability. In consideration of the close relationship of fatigue in sports with the increase of metabolism, the potent mechanisms of fatigue in sports are be postulated: the carbonyl stress induces to the physiology of fatigue in sports.
