Abstract :
In this paper the modulation transfer function model of an electron multiplying CCD is built. The measurement of the modulation transfer function is made by Opto-Eletro Testing System of CI Company. The influence of electron multiplying process on the modulation transfer function is analyzed. The experimental results show that the detail resolution of the electron multiplying CCD doesn´t increase with the multiplication gain at daylight illumination level. Increasing the gain at low light level condition does help improve the detail resolution and better the image quality.
