Abstract :
The present study demonstrated a new method to continuously monitor the glucose/lactate changes of brain of rats during exercise combined computer with electrochemical system. In the present system micro-dialysis method was used to sample from exercising brain and electrochemical analysis method to test the biochemical changes of dialysate sampled from brain. Finally, by computer and potentiostat, on-line transform the electrochemical signals into the direct macroscopic result. In the present study, we continuously test the changes of brain glucose and lactate on freely exercising rats during exhaustive exercise. The result showed that this system could on-line, precisely monitor the rapid changes of brain glucose and lactate during the high intense exercise. And this system could be well used for sport neurophysiology study especially for the research of mechanism of high intense exercised induced central fatigue.
