  • Abstract
    According to the fact that Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) has been mainly used as a signaling protocol in the softswitch system, this paper discusses the implementation of a streaming media server based on SIP. Firstly, this paper presents the concept of streaming media and SIP. Secondly, it discusses the operating principle of a streaming media server and designs the architecture of it. Finally, it introduces a ReSIProcate, SIP protocol stack, and gives steps to implement a signaling module of the streaming media server using ReSIProcate.
