Abstract
Anytime reconfigurability of computing systems is indispensable to persistent computing as well as ubiquitous/pervasive/cloud computing. To require that a computing system function continuously anytime entails that the computing system has to be reconfigured dynamically during its continuous running. This paper shows our approach to dynamic reconfiguration of persistent computing systems constructed based on soft system buses. The paper presents a requirement analysis for the dynamic reconfiguration of persistent computing systems based on soft system buses, proposes an architecture of persistent computing systems based on soft system buses that satisfied the requirements, and presents some implementation issues.
