Abstract
This paper experiments fiber Bragg grating current sensor by use a new material, through the rational design of the structure, improve the detection sensitivity of the optical fiber current sensor constituted by a fiber Bragg grating and the giant magnetostrictive material. The use of the dynamic range of the giant magnetostrictive materials and sensors are reasonable choice, make the output of the sensor have a good linear, and avoid the giant magnetostrictive material hysteresis effect and the temperature impact the sensor characteristics. Experimental results show that the coil through the current range of 0∼3A, the corresponding can be measured straight wire current range of about 0∼3252.52A.
