Abstract :
CoMP is one of the key technologies in LTE-Advanced, through sharing data and channel information between multiple cells, the user performance at cell edge can be more effectively improved compared to the traditional single cell communication mechanism of the LTE system. Among the existing CoMP technology, the CS/CB-CoMP technology based on hidden channel state/statistical information is the most suitable for deployment in LTE systems, and is easier for real implementation. This article studied a novel CoMP algorithm based on PMI set feedback, while some technologies descriptions in 3GPP were used as assistance in this procedure. The complete implementation detail of this algorithm was described, and its performance was verified by conducting system-level simulations, which showed that the CS/CB CoMP technology based on the proposed algorithm can improve the user performance at cell edge effectively, with less feedback information required.
