  • Abstract
Computers does not understand what language is, what a sentence means and what the user is searching for. Web semantics provides this feature. It provides such language to the computer which is understandable by the machine. In Semantic Web the data becomes the part of the web and thus each data item is processed independently. It means that it is independent of application, platform and domain. Ontology is basically a branch of metaphysics. It deals with the properties and nature of entities. It shows the state of existence. Ontology has become so common in World Wide Web. There is no simple way or fixed way of developing ontology. Here we will discuss one process which is used to develop ontology. Ontology alignment deals with the process of finding similarities between various concepts.
