Abstract :
The author discusses the issues surrounding the question of how to recognize those who deserve the honor of an IEEE award. The author encourages more people to get involved with the nominations, not just a small group of people. He notes that there is no perfect process but members should still care about the process because only through a right and just process can we bring about the prestige and respect of an award!
