Abstract :
In this paper, the impact of cooperative mechanisms on medium access control protocol is evaluated in terms of end-users Quality of Service (QoS) and energy consumption. A dynamic and efficient management of cooperative strategies based on beacon reception information is proposed. The aim is to guarantee satisfying end-users QoS (low packet error rate, low latency) and to minimize the energy consumption. The performance analysis is based on measured time-variant BAN channels at 2.45 GHz.
