Abstract
In the variable filter band discrete wavelet transform (VFB-DWT), the frequency components in a specific frequency range has energy losses, and it also makes to reduce the extraction accuracy. In the previous study, this problem was improved by applying stationary wavelet transform (SWT) with redundancy. However, the SWT has a larger calculation cost more than that of previous method because it does not do down-sampling. In this paper, we propose the method of reducing the calculation cost and their effectiveness have been examined.
