Abstract
Course examination is an important means to implement teaching goals. In order to adapt for the objectives of modern engineering education, new examination methods are strongly needed. Based on the international advanced engineering education philosophy of CDIO, a project-oriented multi-project assessment method of Tall building Structure and Seismic Design Course is built instead of conventional written test after redefining the knowledge points and ability points. Teaching practices has proved that it plays a better role in evaluation, guidance and motivating of students´ learning attitudes, engineering skills and knowledge.
