Abstract
With the vigorous development of the Internet of Thing (IOT) technology, the wave of the Internet of Things applications followed by. Applications based on IOT real-time multimedia are under the spotlight. However, due to the needs of real-time characteristic, multimedia data often use User Data Protocol (UDP) for transmission which makes packet loss easily happen when there are network congestion and channel noise. What´s more, the insufficient upstream network bandwidth among front-end device also restricts the boom of real-time multimedia application. In our paper, we design rational platform architecture to solve the problem of front-end bandwidth. At the same time, we design a new real-time multimedia transmission protocol over UDP. Further more, through NS2 simulation we give a suggestion of the protocol parameter.
