Abstract :
Contour hedgerow can efficiently improve soil structure and its ecological performance, retain soil nutrients and prevent non-point pollutants in sloping land. Effects of Leucaena Leucocephala hedgerow on the physical properties in 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm soil layer were evaluated under two kinds of land utilization patterns in 1.471%, 1.504% plots on sloping land in the purple soil area. Results indicate that in cropland plots, hedgerow had great influence on vertical distribution of soil microaggregates of both 1.471% and 1.504% slope plots. Hedgerows affects soil microaggregates of both slopes in 0-20 cm soil layer much better than that of 20-40 cm soil layer.
