  • Abstract
For superconducting attitude control and energy storage flywheel, a new structure of three-ring interference fitted rotor consisting of a high strength steel hollow hub and three composite cylindrical rings are presented to achieve high limiting speed and specific energy. To design the high-speed carbon fiber rotor, the stress of rotor subjected to centrifugal loads, initial stresses and deforms for two rings and multi-rings in interference fit are analysized by mathematical methods and finite element methods Factors such as average radius and thickness of rings, interference between rings, and thickness ratio of rings affecting on stress distribution in multi-ring interference fitted rotor are studied deeply.
