Abstract :
Mineral resource planning is the basis for examing, approving and monitoring mineral resource exploration, utilization and protection. It is significant to establish an effective management system for mineral resources planning based on modem information technology. The paper designs the mineral resource database, which can achieve the unity of management of spatial and attribute data . The implementation compose of the database and the flow of building mineral resource database are elaborated. According to the loose coupling concept, the architecture of the system is designed; and the functional module is introduced. Finally, the management system of mineral resource planning has been developed based on ArcGIS, and the implementation method is discussed. The system may mprove the efficiency and level of mineral recourses planning management.
