Abstract :
To meet 3GPP, the latest release of LTE Release 9 Standard, this paper designs and simulates the random access procedure of Network side protocol stack in LTE system. Firstly, this paper introduces the initial events of the random access procedure, and describes contention and non-contention outlines based on the random access procedure. Then, we specifically describe contention based the random access procedure, and put forward several important problems´ solutions. Based on the design, using Specification and Description Language (SDL), the simulation of the conformance requirement of specification is met, and the feasibility is validated by the simulation.
