Abstract :
As a crucial part of the control system of a centrifugal compressor, it is very important to assure the reliability and practicability of anti-surge control system. In this paper, the mechanism of compressor surge is introduced, and the features are analyzed. In order to test the Safety Integrity Level (SIL) of the compressor surge control system in a gas station, the Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) method is used for determining the needed SIL, and a quantitative analysis method-Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is used to verify the SIL of the safety instrument system. Corresponding measures are proposed according to the assessment result.
