  • Abstract
The data envelopment analysis method is adopted to evaluate operational efficiency of marine economy in order to discover and resolve their input redundancy and output insufficiency so as to improve their operational efficiency. In order to give some progressive proposals and improve the efficiency of the input and output index to measure marine resource and economy, in the part of the demonstration, 11 coastal regions were identified as research targets, and a model was set based on the input and output index to measure the marine resource and economical productivity of coastal regions. It is concluded that the input and output index of marine input and output is relatively effective. So there are something must to be done to improve the efficiency, such as optimizing marine industrial structure, strengthening the marine laws and regulations and improving the Sustainable marine development and so on. China´s coastal marine economy is changing from a mode focused on quantity into the benefit-intensive one that focuses on quality.
