Abstract :
This paper first proposes the marine economic comprehensive competitiveness in coastal regions in China, and then evaluates the marine economic comprehensive competitiveness based on factor analysis and cluster analysis. The results illustrate that the factor scores of Guangdong, Shandong, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Liaoning and Fujian are much greater than 0, indicating the competitiveness of the coastal province is above the average level of China. The composite score of the provinces such as Jiangsu, Tianjin, Hainan, Hebei and Guangxi are below the average level coastal regions should participate in regional division of labor and cooperate actively, strengthen the total marine economy, enhance the development of marine industry strength, strong the level of marine science and technology, fully utilize marine resources and advantages in order to enhance coastal regional marine competitiveness. And finally, this paper gives suggestions on enhancing the marine economic comprehensive competitiveness from the perspective of marine industrial structure, marine environmental protection, marine science and technology.
