Abstract :
Distribution networks are facing major challenges: integration of decentralized and intermittent energy resources, development of electrical vehicules, electricity consumption and peak demand growth. In order to be able to manage these issues, ERDF has launched a smart grids program, based on a set of demonstrators allowing to adress the different aspects of the distribution grids of the future. The projects specifically dedicated to the management of intermittency and storage are NiceGrid, Venteea and Smart Grid Vendée. These experiments aim to validate technical options, to assess costs and benefits and to propose regulatory evolutions to enable the development of smart grids.
