Abstract :
Recently, forgery and counterfeiting of semiconductor products have become one of the most serious problems. These problems not only cause money damages, but also have the risk related to the safety of the life. Therefore, techniques to prevent forgery by using random characteristic patterns that are difficult to control artificially have attracted attention. The physical unclonable function (PUF) is one of these techniques. PUF uses analog characteristics of each device, which are generated accidentally by variations during LSI manufacturing, as a measure of individual identification. This study proposes a new PUF which is based on arbiter PUF. By introducing a new method of composing selectors and of detecting the difference in delay between selectors, the proposed PUF can generate the response effectively. Experimental results verify the validity of the proposed PUF.
