Abstract :
In this paper, an optimization method is proposed to compute the power flow feasible region´s boundary. The boundary points of maximum load are directly and accurately computed through a non-linear programming model. The security constraints such as equipment restrictions and voltage constraint are introduced into the study of the feasible region. The feasible region´s boundary with security constraints is successfully calculated on the WSCC 3-generator and 9-bus system and the impact of the security constraints on the region is analyzed.
