Abstract
Excessive mining of coal has given rise to the issues of safety and energy consumption in coal mine, and the crux lies in power network largely. In this paper, a set of monitoring system for power network in coal mine is present. Based on the demands of network operation, deep analysis is taken for the objectives of monitoring system: safety for workers underground, reliability of power network and A class equipment, power conservation. After that, system architecture and technical details are addressed and their pros and cons are discussed. This unified monitoring system rather than the conventional ones in which only a single monitoring object is concerned, integrates both equipment and workers into the monitoring schema, while the power network monitoring still be the core. Operated and tested in the laboratory, this monitoring system proved to be accurate, robust and easy to operate.
