  • Abstract
    For the successful management of materials innovations, it is essential to consider the relationship and interactions between science and technology in materials. However, relatively little attention has been paid to the research on the gap between scientific output (papers) and technological output (patents) in materials. This paper aims to identify the relationship between science and technology and to discuss about the innovation gap in materials sector especially, in metallurgy & metallurgy engineering.
