Abstract :
The results of electron microscopy investigation of dislocation structure in annealed copper by exposure to high power pulsed microwave (HPPM) are presented. It was established that exposure of copper targets to HPPM results in the dislocation generation into the skin layer and outside it. Such modification of dislocation structure in metal surf ace layers may results in essentially changing of mechanical properties of metals. The conclusion about the revelation of the new physical phenomena are made.
