Abstract
Interaction of power electron continuous condition beams with plasma in slow-wave structure channels formed by a chain of connected cylindrical resonators is considered. The results of disperse characteristics calculations and amplitude frequency response plotted on this base are presented. Interaction of electromagnetic waves in a slow-wave structure with waves in a plasma channel are described and concepts on hybrid plasma beam waveguides are developed. A possibility of electron beam energy conversion into microwave radiation with high efficiency is theoretically showed. The theoretically received data are experimentally confirmed. Extension of operation frequency band and increase of energy conversion efficiency are experimentally demonstrated on the base of the fulfilled studies. Wide-band microwave generators of 20 kW continuous condition power intended for industrial use are developed.
