Abstract :
This paper studies the key technologies of relay training system based on the IEC61850 standard. WinPcap is used to develop IEC81850 based network communication. The proposed tecnique achieves communication between process and bay level, simulates actions of a relay and provides two protection algorithms, namely Fourier algorithm and Continuous Wavelet Transform. Furthermore, the system provides comprehensive analysis functions such as fault wave characteristics (amplitude, sequence component, power, impedance) calculating. This system has been evaluated via data simulated by EMTDC/PSCAD and the results prove that the system has many virtues such as friendly interface, powerful function and accurate calculation.
