Abstract :
Medium voltage distribution network is the basis for the development of urban distribution network. With the power load increasing, 20kV instead of 10kV voltage level will become the main future development direction for distribution network. The load forecasting is an important aspect of distribution network planning, whose model based on exponential smoothing method which is simple created, less data storage required. It can quickly calculate a new predicted value by the recent observations, which is applicable to the load forecast for the near future. By the load forecasting to a newly industrial park for 20kV distribution network, this paper preliminary studies based on the exponential smoothing method in distribution network planning application.
