Abstract :
Due to its nonlinearity, when the load changes largely, 12-pulse rectifier with the PID controller can´t adapt to the changes of the system parameters, which may lead to poor control performance. The fuzzy control can work under imprecise input and can handle nonlinear problems. In this paper, a fuzzy controller is designed for 12-pulse rectifier to control the output voltage of the system. And the control performance is compared with the one with PID controller. The simulation model is established in the environment of MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation results show that fuzzy control can overcome the impact of the load change, improve response speed and no overshoot, greatly improving its dynamic performance.
