Abstract :
Introduces basic principles of several commonly used fault location methods, and make a certain analysis and comparison between impedance method and traveling wave method. Focus on analysis the theory and techniques of traveling wave method, and do some elaboration of wavelet transform. Proposed a double-ended algorithm, then using matlab and PSCAD do simulation and verification. The result shows that the algorithm is not subject to transition resistance, fault type and fault distance.
