  • Abstract
    Aiming at the current methods´ problems of single information source and high cost a vehicle information monitoring system based on MPT (Mobile Phone Terminal) is proposed, and MPT acts as the monitoring carrier. In the system, Multi-Source Information is used, and dedicated information exchange protocol is designed and used to exchange data. Bluetooth and sensor technology are used to achieve the real-time monitoring of the vehicle driving data and on-demand fault detection. Using GPRS, the system sends data to RSC (Remote Service Centre), and requests remote services from RSC. Experiments show that the system is effective, real time, easy installation, and low cost.
