Abstract :
To increase competitiveness, reduce environmental impact, improve accessibility and enhance safety and preparedness in the Baltic region, the EU launched MONALISA project which is an e-Navigation solution to achieve intelligent sea route in the Baltic Sea. At first, this paper introduces the MONALISA project. Then it summarizes innovative idea and technology in MONALISA. In the end, based on the present situation of Chinese maritime support system, it puts forward several suggestions from maritime supervision, early warning and emergency, search and rescue and maritime information issuing to improve Chinese maritime security ability.
