Abstract :
Digital TV set-top box has become the best “bridge” of the transition from analog television to digital television. This article discusses the design and realization of EPG (Electronic Program Guide) system and GUI (Graphics User Interface), which is based on Linux embedded operation system and ST7109 platform supporting high-definition digital TV decoding. Firstly, this article briefly introduces the business information standard of digital TV. Secondly, the paper mainly discusses the overall system structure of digital TV set-top box. Most important is that the design of EPG system management module has been discussed, especially management of program subscription and management of Timer. Finally, the paper introduces the design of GUI, including the plan of OSD layer and realization of OSD multi-language.
