Abstract :
Simulating, forecasting and displaying flood submergence range accurately and scientifically has important significance for flood control, flood fighting, flood assessment and disaster relief to provide decision support. This paper develops the Flood Submergence Analysis System using ArcEngine component library. The main functions of this system are as follows: generation of 3D terrain, display of water line, flood submerging area and economic appendage, and statistics on economic loss in flood submerging area, and so on. The system d provides reference for flood prevention work to make scientific decision.
