Abstract
It is very difficult to extract the poles of complex targets, so a method of extracting radar target poles is proposed in this paper with three steps. First we should estimate the number of the possible target poles. Then a relevant standard is used to cancel false poles and leaves dominant poles. Lastly poles in different directions are integrated to the final poles based on directional invariance of target poles. Pole results of the thin wire and Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer show that the new method is more convenient and precise in practice.
