Abstract
Recently, researches on hierarchical clustering routing protocol in wireless sensor networks have been widely carried on. These protocols mostly are about unique sink node. In large wireless sensor networks the above protocols are not scalable. In this paper, we proposed a multi-level protocol between cluster heads and more sink nodes, which organizes sensor nodes with LEACH clustering algorithm. By using this improved protocol, the communication from cluster heads to more sink nodes is more energy-efficient than single sink node. According to the simulation of the presented protocol, we proved that the proposed protocol can increase scalability and lifetime of WSNs.
