Abstract
This paper describes the educational use of surface temperature data. It deals with thermal environment issues. In order to understand the thermal environment of the earth, it is first necessary to learn about the thermal environment of regional areas. A surface temperature observation system was constructed in Kanazawa city with the goal of investigating the thermal environment of a provincial Japanese city, and observation began in 2003. In this paper, using the data gained from our temperature observations, we create education materials that pique the interests of students towards temperature change through the students´ sense of touch and feeling. We believe that the created content will contribute to the development of the ability of students to gain insight into the changes of the seasons.
