Abstract :
“Principal component of economic growth is knowledge - in the Knowledge Based Economy”. The eLearning is a paradigm shift in learning patterns and systems to acquire knowledge in the binary driven world. Synchronous and Asynchronous are two modes of content delivery methodology in eLearning. This paper discusses few fundamental factors that influence eLearning such as the Age of eLearner, Gender, the Years of Experience in the IT industry, etc., Also to explore the key attributes such as - time, understanding the subject matter, overload, and course completion which are the parameters of learner´s preference over eLearning. A study has been conducted in a department of an IT Company who offers eLearning as a delivery methodology and the associates of the company are encouraged for eLearning as a choice, either Synchronous or Asynchronous.
