Consideration of classification of dance movements for Nihon Buyo using motion capture system

We have built a system for visualizing the body motion and center of gravity of dancers using motion capture system and studied classifications of dance motion using the motion of the center of gravity. The results suggest that for the segment of motion analyzed in this study, we should be able to classify dancers into four of the five main schools of Nihon Buyo, regardless of the age group of the dancer, using these extracted feature values.
