Abstract :
We made an attempt to reduce cognitive time of peripheral important information such as pedestrians or motorbikes by an automotive warning presentation that made use of cross-modal link. The visual danger was warned by visual, auditory or tactile warning with a directional cue in order to clarify how the warning should be presented to drivers. As a result, it was verified that the warning system with the cross-modal principle led to a quicker and more accurate reaction to avoid hazard situations.
