Abstract
This paper describes the UHF spectrum re-allocation and its consequences to the usage of the broadcasting services. The technological advances such as DVB-T2 standard and H.264/AVC algorithm should be used after the allocation of the 694-862 MHz band to the mobile services for the replacement of broadcasting services in the 470-694 MHz band. The amount of digital dividend in terms of broadcasting services and capacity is calculated in this paper and two different scenarios of DVB-T to DVB-T2 transition are examined.
