Abstract :
In this paper, a satellite simultaneous SAR observation experiment was introduced. Through twice satellite imaging (half an hour interval) over the experiment area, we study the time-spatial evolution of oil slick spread on the sea surface based on SAR backscattering features. The experiment demonstrated that SAR backscattering features can be of great help in tracking the evolution of spreading oil slick on the sea surface.
