Abstract :
In this study, data from GRACE, TRMM, and MODIS were used to assess the 2010 seasonal water fluxes in the three major basins of the Brazilian savanna biome. As our results suggest, at each basin, the annual cycle of increase and depletion in water storage, somewhat related to the dominant land-cover patterns, is an important driver behind the biophysical responses of the total and remnant vegetative covers.
