Abstract :
Forest resources supervision is the important component of forest resources macro-management, and the nucleus of sustainable forest management, playing a crucial role in ensuring sustainable forest use, continuous green growth and mitigating climate change. Based on the current status of macro-forest resources supervision, multi-scale remote sensing is introduced to find out the efficient ways for better forest resources management and use control in this paper. With the methodology exploration and case application, the monitoring system is developed. The study results show that large-scale monitoring with coarse satellite images can provide the spatial priorities of national forest resources supervision, medium-scale monitoring with 10-30m resolution satellite images can identify the focal areas of forest resources supervision, and fine-scale monitoring with finer resolution images can provide the exact patch distribution of deforestation and forest quality obvious decline, and enhance the pertinence of annual forest resources supervision.
