Abstract :
This paper presents the investigation results of natural ester based liquid dielectrics, mixtures of natural ester insulating fluids with mineral insulating oils, and natural ester based nanofluids. Basic electrical, physical, chemical, and aging properties of natural ester based liquid dielectrics are presented. Experimental results of fault gases dissolved in the natural ester insulating fluids and aging properties of the mixtures of natural ester insulating fluids with mineral insulating oils are also presented. This paper moreover illustrates the preparation and properties of natural ester based nanofluids. Application of a type of camellia insulating oil filled distribution transformer is introduced finally.
